Tuesday 23 October 2007 – Paisley

This practice event showcased four different approaches to collecting and using evidence to help plan regeneration. Speakers were from an Urban Regeneration Company, a Community Planning Partnership, a development trust and a community health project. Presentations and a reading list are now available.

Making the best use of evidence in outcome agreements

Linking neighbourhood and local strategic planning for regeneration

This practice event featured case studies from West Lothian, City of Edinburgh, Aberdeen City and South Lanarkshire and looked at how they have addressed this issue within their own local community planning area. Presentations are now available.

This SCR practice event launched the good practice guide practice to Creating and Sustaining Mixed Income Communities in Scotland. This is published by Joseph Rowntree Foundation and the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) in Scotland. The guide was supported by the Town and Country Planning Association and Communities Scotland. Presentations.

This masterclass was complimented by practice workshops to examine the links between urban design and the social, environmental and economic aspects of place. Presentations.

This practice event focussed on understanding better how to measure the

This practice event focussed on employer engagement – one of the six themes identified in Workforce Plus, Scotland’s Employability Framework. Presentations

This practice event focussed on some of the opportunities for mainstream health services to contribute to regeneration. Presentations from this event are now available.

How can we change the way people think and feel about places?

This masterclass provided real experience of how to change perceptions about places. Angus Kennedy’s presentation and the presentations from Raploch, Linthouse, Merchant City and Greater Govan are now available.

How do we develop community assets?

This masterclass explored how communities could develop an asset base to create an independent stream of income. Lorraine Hart’s presentation and notes are now available.
