Participatory Evaluation
Description
The participatory evaluation process focuses on involving all key stakeholders in assessing the performance and achievements of an organisation, project or initiative. Local communities are clearly a key stakeholder in regeneration activity.
All stakeholders jointly set the aims for the research, and specify how it will be undertaken. The focus is on making sure that the research will be useful to all stakeholders.
What do I need?
This approach centres around a commitment to ensure that communities, and other stakeholders are involved in the evaluation process. You will need to be committed to involving others in the process. And you may need to allow more time than normal, to gain agreement on the research process.
